Statement on Canada-US agreement to remove US 232 tariffs on steel & aluminum
JAMA Canada welcomes the recent agreement between Canada and
the US to eliminate the US 232 tariffs on steel and aluminum, as well as Canada’s
retaliatory tariffs applied in response. This positive development will not
only reduce the costs associated with the tariffs, but also removes a key
impediment to the ratification of the Canada US Mexico Agreement.
